NVH & interior acoustics

The modules dedicated to NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) analysis and interior acoustics analysis are especially adapted to solve linear NVH ranging from road noise, dynamic stiffnesses, up to functional trim design based on porous elastic elements.

  • Linear pertubation response of mechanical systems
  • NVH analysis: Eigen mode, harmonic and transient response
  • Interior acoustics analysis

The module for acoustics analysis allows to predict more accurately the response of vibro-acoustics interior problems where porous elastic materials like foams play a role. It features an automatic couple algorithm between air and structure, which are both represented in a modal way. The porous elastic materials which may consist out of multiple layers of foam, septum, are mapped in a glued or sliding way onto the structure.

Output currently exists in sound pressure levels, panel participation factors and nodal responses on the structure like displacements and accelerations.

The module for NVH analysis can be used to test structural modal transient response when the response from the structure can be regarded as linear and no material or geometric nonlinearities occur.

Both applications are making use of an in-house DMP scalable modal reduction techniques or Third party solvers AMLS, which allows to solve very large problems very fast.

Both NVH and interior acoustics modules are supported by Visual-Environment, a collaborative interface, which brings you an integrated Pre-Post system adapted towards usability within the NVH process.

They also allow you to bring a manufacturing history as well as pre-loading effects into the functional NVH simulation.
